Netgear simplifies WiFi for small installations

Netgear has just announced its latest Wave 2 Business Access Point, the WAC510.  This Access Points is designed to to deliver high  performance for small businesses, such as cafés, doctors' offices and other service industry locations.

 

The WAC510 Access Point also features the latest Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) technology allowing for aggregate WiFi speeds up to 1.2Gbps via a 2x2 antenna (300 Mbps at 2.4GHz and 900 Mbps at 5GHz.  The device comes standard with two Ethernet ports, one of which is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) 1GbE port.  Unlike most Access Points, this offering comes with two modes of operation, a standard access point mode for multiple WAC510 deployment in a larger scenarios, as well as a router mode for single WAC510 deployments in small offices.

One new feature that Netgear has added with the WAC510 is the ability to manage the Access Point with the new NETGEAR Insight mobile application.  This easy, yet flexible solution, it suggests,  gives users a simplified centralized management system without the need for additional hardware.

Set to enter the market at an MSRP of $160, the Netgear WiFi Business Access Point (WAC510) will become  generally available this month.  The WAC510 offers businesses  "peace of mind" with a Netgear lifetime hardware warranty, and next business day shipping for part replacement, and lifetime technical support via online chat.
