by on16 March 2023

DLSS available in over 270 games and apps

Nvidia has confirmed that the DLSS 3 will be available in both Forza Horizon 5, Redfall, and Diablo IV, among other games as well.

Nvidia was keen to note that there are currently over 270 games and apps with DLSS support and another 7 games will be adding support in March, including Forza Horizon 5, Redfall, and Diablo IV.

Nvidia has also announced DLSS Frame Generation, which will be publicly available for developers at GDC. The DLSS Frame Generation, according to Nvidia, takes better advantage of game engine data, improving UI stability and image quality during fast movement. With DLSS Super Resolution, which improves Ultra Performance mode bringing finer detail stability and overall better image quality, and DLAA, which improves image quality, reduces ghosting, and improves edge smoothness in high-contrast scenarios, the DLSS enhancements will now include the DLSS Frame Generation.

Nvidia also noted that DLSS 3 will be coming to Unreal Engine 5.2 soon, which will only bring further games to the DLSS 3 support.

"NVIDIA DLSS 3 introduces truly impressive frame generation technology and the Unreal Engine 5.2 plugin will offer developers a great choice for increased quality and performance of their games." - Nick Penwarden, Vice President of Engineering at Epic Games.

The big news is the support for DLSS 3 in Diablo IV, which launches on June 6th. Nvidia has said that the beta phase will have DLSS 2, but the final game will launch with DLSS 3 support.

The list also includes Bethesda's Redfall, an open-world, co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, which puts the player on the island town which is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Redfall will also get support for Nvidia Reflex and is also a part of the new Redfall Bite Back Edition GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle which will be available until April 11th.

Forza Horizon 5 and DLSS 3 support are not a big surprise and it will be available on March 28th, bringing impressive performance improvements.

The rest of the titles include THE FINALS: Closed Beta, which comes with both DLSS 3 and ray tracing, Deceive Inc., launching on March 21st with DLSS 2, Gripper, coming on March 29th with DLSS 2 and ray tracing, and Smalland: Survive the Wilds, which will be available in early access as of March 29th and come with DLSS 2 support.
