One of AMD's recently released Ryzen 2000 series CPUs, codename Pinnacle Ridge, has had its top taken off by Der8auer showing that these are still soldered to the IHS and that such a process is simply not worth doing due to small temperature differences.

In the aftermath of Raven Ridge delidding, which revealed that it uses thermal paste under the IHS, AMD's Robert Hallock took to Reddit to note that this won't be the case with the upcoming Pinnacle Ridge CPUs, based on 12nm manufacturing process and usually known as the Ryzen + CPUs.

According to a report coming from Japan, AMD's Ryzen 2000-series (Ryzen 2) processors, may launch in March, alongside its new motherboard chipsets, the X470 and the B450.
