Not as curved as expected

Sony has unveiled its two latest flagship smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona and although these are not as curved as expected, Sony has at least somewhat changed its boring design and equipped both smartphones with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Slimmer bezels, half-screen fingerprint scanner and pop-out camera

Although it did not bring any new smartphones to the MWC 2018 show, Chinese company Vivo brought a rather interesting concept device meant to demonstrate some future technologies, including the new screen with the slimmest bezels so far, half-screen fingerprint scanning, Screen SoundCasting technology, and pop-out motorized front camera.

Powering eXtended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI) and more

After the official announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+, Qualcomm was quite keen to note that its Snapdragon 845 SoC will be the one that will power all those new features in some regions.

Invitation hints at triple-camera setup

Although it has decided to skip the P20 announcement at the MWC 2018 show in Barcelona, Huawei had a lot to show and it even released an invite for the upcoming P20 event that will be held on March 27th, in Paris.

It appears that Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro is quite an interesting smartphone as the company managed to sell over 300k units in less than three minutes on its first flash sale of the smartphone.

Samsung will have a hard time to show something new at the Galaxy S9/S9+ unveil event considering that most of the information, including specifications, pictures and, now the price, have leaked online.
