AMD's Ryzen 2000 series CPU gets delidded
Not worth doing
One of AMD's recently released Ryzen 2000 series CPUs, codename Pinnacle Ridge, has had its top taken off by Der8auer showing that these are still soldered to the IHS and that such a process is simply not worth doing due to small temperature differences.

At its scheduled New Horizon event, AMD has now officially confirmed its branding for the Zen CPU architecture, now to be known as the Ryzen. As we said before, the only SKU announced and detailed so far is the 8-core/16-thread CPU.
