Cut-down Fiji GPU does the job at US $549

AMD has now officially announced its newest Radeon R9 Fury graphics card based on a cut-down version of the Fiji GPU with 4GB of HBM and US $549 price tag.

AMD has released its latest Catalyst 15.7 WHQL-certified drivers which brings official support for recently release Radeon 300-series and R9 Fury graphics card, adds support for FreeSync on Crossfire systems and plenty of other features and game optimizations.

Coming in two versions with Tri-X cooler

While we already head a lot regarding specifications of the Fiji-based Radeon R9 Fury (non-X) graphics card, now these specifications are pretty much confirmed as two custom Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury graphics cards have leaked online.

Just as well it has no rivals 

A couple of weeks ago we said that Intel was delaying its Cannonlake processors and its next-generation Kaby Lake processors.

Or at least rumoured

AMD mentioned that the AMD Radeon R9 Fury STRIX graphics card was coming out at the 'New Era of PC Gaming' presentation but we did not  see anything.
