AMD has now officially announced the launch date of its Ryzen 5 series CPUs that will be based on its new Zen CPU architecture and using the same AM4 platform. The Ryzen 5 lineup will be available in six- and quad-core SKU, completely unlocked and with enabled SMT (simultaneous multi-threading).
