Perhaps one of the most interesting things about the Wii U is the fact that the GamePad is much lighter than expected. Nintendo has worked hard to make the GamePad durable, as well as light; and it is so lightweight that it is lighter than an iPad.

Nintendo has confirmed that you will be able to connect two of them to the console, which was apparently in doubt. The battery life of the GamePad is about what we expected, checking in at 3 to 5 hours of play time (a number that seems a bit optimistic to us). Nintendo claims that it takes about 2 to 2 ½ hours to fully re-charge the GamePad. The GamePad uses a high-performance lithium ion battery that is very lightweight.

No word yet on how much the second GamePad will cost when it is released.
