When we first got wind of this we could not actually believe it, but word is that Reef Entertainment is working on a new Rambo title. Yes, that’s right: the one man army is coming back for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this time around.

While we don’t know much about it yet, we hear that the new Rambo title will not be a tie-in to a new Rambo movie. The game is to be a “triple-A” effort that Reef would like to make an on-going franchise.

Reef Entertainment is best known recently for their efforts on the Wii and PC. The U.K. development house has done Rogue Trooper, Sniper Elite, Free Running, Utopia, Shadow Grounds, World War Zero, and WWII Tank Commander.

While the Rambo movies were a hit in the ’80s, we are not sure that gamers are ready to embrace a Rambo revival. You never know, but it is going to take one heck of a triple-A effort in order for people to embrace it, no matter how good it is. We wish Reef the best of luck because we think they are going to need it.
