From the world of broken street dates we hear that none other than Gears of War 3 has apparently been received by a number of customers in Norway. Reports claim that many of those who ordered online though online retailer Elkjop in Norway have gotten Gears of War 3 a few days ahead of its actual release on September 20th.

As you might imagine, Microsoft isn’t happy about the news and they take violations of street dates very seriously. Retailer Elkjop is said to be claiming that they don’t have a clue how it happened, and they are trying to figure out what caused Gears of War 3 to ship out early.

We have received reports of the street date for Gears of War 3 being broken in other areas, but so far we have not yet been able to confirm that this is the case.
