After a delay due to an unknown reason, the scheduled Microsoft dashboard update for the Xbox 360 has slowly begun arriving for console owners. The update brings the new “Metro” interface to the Xbox 360.

While the new interface and the features that it offers have been talked about for months now, we are just glad that the update is finally headed out. Some users (including us) have had problems downloading and getting it applied. Reports on the forums and Microsoft’s own support line confirm problems that some users are having downloading the update and connecting to Xbox Live.

We suspect that Microsoft will continue to iron out the bugs over the next couple of days; but it is surprising that they are having any issues, as the beta was said to have gone well. Sources tell us that the latest problems apparently have nothing to do with the delay this afternoon.
