Creative Director Steve Hood from Codemasters has responded to disgruntled fans over the outright disgraceful messages that have been sent to him and his colleagues at Codemasters over what has been dubbed Wear-Gate. Hood is asking for maturity and more polite behavior for those leaving feedback.

The problem is that buyers of the game are unhappy with the tire wear in the game, or what is now being referred to as Wear-Gate. Hood acknowledges that he has read almost every Tweet sent his way; and while people seem to be jumping on the bandwagon to carp about the tire wear in the game, many of the comments seem to be piling on.

While Hood is asking for patience and more mature conduct, nothing has been said yet about how the issue might be addressed - or if it will be addressed in an upcoming patch. The forum does offer an explanation as to why the changes in the new version of the game were made. We will have to see where all of this leads and how it shakes out in the end.
