4J Studios, who handles the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, has indicated that a new update should be released soon in the next Xbox 360 version and it will add a few things from the PC version of the game.

According to the 4J Studios Twitter posting, NPC trading and anvils are among the big adds in Update 14. In addition, Update 14 will feature a much wider selection of food, including potatoes, baked potatoes, carrots and pumpkin pies. Screenshots from Update 14 seem to indicate that the PC version features tripwires, carpet, nether quartz and Ender Chests, which allow you to access stored items from multiple locations.

Still no word on when the Xbox One version of Minecraft is expected to be released. We know that the studio is working on it, but so far they have had little to say about when it might launch.
