Palit has just joined the likes of Gainward, Sparkle and Zotac with a new Geforce GTX 460 Sonic card boasting 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Of course, adding an extra 1GB of memory onto a performance class card such as the 460 won’t have a drastic impact on performance, so Palit also decided to go for a slight overclock.
The card runs at 700MHz for the GPU and 950MHz for the memory. According to early listings, the new card should retail at around €250 or £190. This is no bargain, especially considering strong competition from ATI in the €200 to €300 price range.
