Intel has released its newest Graphics Driver for Windows, version 15.60, which enables HDR media playback on integrated GPUs in Intel's 7th generation Core Kaby Lake and 8th generation Core Coffee Lake CPUs.

According to the release notes provided by Intel, the  Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 15.60.0.4849 supports Intel's 8th generation, 7th generation, and 6th generation Core CPUs as well as Mobile Xeon and related Pentium/Celeron CPUs on Microsoft's Windows 10 64-bit OS.

The driver enables Microsoft Windows 10 Fall Creators Update features and brings support for HDR playback and streaming on systems with Intel UHD Graphics 620 or better IGP. It is also the Windows Mixed Reality launch driver.

In addition to HDR and Windows Mixed Reality support, the new WDDM 2.3 driver also brings several security fixes, support for Wide Color Gamut, enables 10-bit HDR playback over HDMI, and enables video processing and video decode acceleration in DirectX 12.

This is also a Game Ready driver for plenty of new games on Intel Iris Pro graphics, including The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, Destiny 2 and Call of Duty: WWII.

The list of key fixed issues include graphics anomalies seen in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 games as well as Blu-ray playback via Cyberlink PowerDVD software, intermittent crashes or hangs in DOTA 2 (Vulkan version) when when switching to a lower resolution on an embedded display panel, performance optimizations and improvements in Middle-earth: Shadow of War game, improved memory usage in OpenCL applications and various security improvements.

You can download the new driver over at Intel's download center where you can find the full release notes as well, lucky you.
