DirectX 12 powered VR benchmark

Futuremark has unveiled the next addition to its VRMark benchmark suite, the Cyan Room, which will use DirectX 12 API to push those VR-ready systems to the limit.

Based on an in-house built DirectX 12 benchmark, the Cyan Room benchmark for VRMark will use a large complex scene with many effects that will show how using an API with less overhead deliver an impressive VR experience even on modest PC system configurations.

As expected, the Cyan Room benchmark will offer detailed charts with frame-by-frame performance, ability to change resolution and apply custom settings, and can be run on both a desktop monitor and a VR headset.

As it was originally announced for VRMark and available with Orange Room and Blue Room benchmarks, the Cyan Room benchmark will also have the Benchmark and Experience modes.

According to Futuremark, the Cyan Room will be a free update for VRMark Advanced Edition and VRMark Professional Edition when it comes on November 22nd.
