A direct competitor to the RX 5600 XT at $299.99

Asus has unveiled its newest model of the Geforce RTX 2060 graphics card, the RTX 2060 Dual Mini, which will be a direct competitor to AMD's RX 5600 XT at $299.99, and come in two versions, with and without a factory overclock.

As a part of Asus' well-known Dual Mini series, the RTX 2060 Dual Mini has a shorter 19.7cm long PCB and uses a dual-slot cooler. Bear in mind that due to the cooler size, which features an aluminum heatsink paired up with two 90mmm fans, it is also slightly higher, at 12.1cm.

Asus will have two versions, with and without a factory overclock. The standard one works at 1365MHz GPU base and 1680MHz GPU Boost clocks, while the OC version pushes the GPU Boost clock up to 1725MHz. Both also come with 6GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 14Gbps.

The card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, and it features DVI-D, HDMI 2.0b, and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs.

Asus' RTX 2060 Dual Mini should start appearing in retail/e-tail stores soon with a price set at $299.99 for the standard and around $320-330 for the overclocked version.

At $299.99, the RTX 2060 is a better choice

Nvidia itself, as well as some of its AIC partners, is countering AMD's RX 5600 XT launch and offering RTX 2060 versions at $299.99/€299, including EVGA with its own RTX 2060 KO, and now Asus with its own RTX 2060 Dual Mini.

AMD never intended for RX 5600 XT to go against the RTX 2060, but rather the GTX 1660 Ti, which put Nvidia in a good spot as there was obviously room to adjust its prices. At $299.99, RTX 2060 is obviously a better choice.
