Developers have been asking a lot of questions about the theme abilities of the PlayBook tablet. The Theme Studio is one of the tools that many developers use to develop their own themes to go hand in hand with their products. Apparently, we are not the only ones that are wondering about the theme support on the PlayBook.

According to sources, the PlayBook (while able to support themes) will not offer a Theme Studio for developers initially. If demand is high enough, however, RIM might revisit the decision to produce a version of Theme Studio for the PlayBook.

Right now, the development community is still asking questions and getting its arms around the PlayBook to see what is possible. So, of course, these kinds of questions are going to be asked, as developers want to translate the knowledge that they have gained from other BlackBerry products.

Sources tell us that the PlayBook is still on track for release early next year, and surprisingly, RIM has a lot more interest in it than even they expected. Of course, everyone is looking for a challenger for the iPad; and many developers are wondering if the PlayBook might just be the ticket.
