Not much has been said about the event except that you should expect to see at least one device getting the Marshmallow which is the new , Android 6.0 operating system.

This is probably a hardware launch too as people have been expecting an updated version of a mainstream phone codenamed Aero, A9. This might be the event where A9 gets revealed as traditionally HTC releases a mainstream phone in Q4 to meet the Christmas shopping demand.

Judging from the invitation, #BeBrilliant, Aero A9 looks like iPhone 6. It should launch with Snapdragon 617 processor, 5 inch 1920x1080 full HD display and 2GB of RAM. We had a good laugh when people insisted that Aero A9 will come with MediaTek's Helio X20. We knew that this rumor was not going to fly as Helio X20 was set to launch later than October.

The new phone will be introduced on October 20 and will probably go on sale quite soon. We just hope that for once the price will be right for this market segment.
