Nvidia talks up Tegra, Android

PCs will soon seem archaic
Nvidia’s Vice President of Mobile Content Neil Trevett told a gathering of developers that Tegra chips would soon find their way into smartphones, tablets and car infotainment systems, courtesy of Audi.
Trevett said that PCs would soon seem very archaic and that mobile computing is the way forward. When asked which phones would use Nvidia’s Tegra, Trevett jokingly noted that Microsoft’s Kin already uses it, or rather used to use it.
Interestingly, Trevett noted that Nvidia supported open standards and that Android would eventually outpace Microsoft and Apple in the mobile market.
“Android is going to be the Windows of the mobile world,” said Trevett, adding that he might get sacked for such a remark.
