Apple could drop Samsung for TSMC

New A6 processor to be made in Taiwan
Apple and Samsung have been involved in a protracted and very public legal fight over patents and licensing issues. The move could signal the end of cooperation between the two tech heavyweights.
However, the reports are still in the realm of speculation, although the move comes as no surprise. Apple is vying for the top spot in the mobile and tablet markets, hence it would make sense to cut cooperation with Samsung, an emerging competitor in both markets.
In addition, it is worth noting that chipmaker-for-hire TSMC produces Nvidia’s Tegra processors and Apple could stand to gain some perks and benefits from TSMC, since it would be able to place significantly higher orders than Nvidia.
