With the launch of a new third-generation Zen, 7nm CPU architecture, comes a time where older records are shattered by the new. Various extreme overclockers on HWBOT.org used G.SKILL memory kits as their memory of choice when achieving their overclock targets.
Across various categories, an astounding 51 records from a total of 55 records were achieved with the use of G.SKILL DDR4 memory. It lost two top spots to some Corsair memory, but apart from these two scores, it takes all the other top spots and usually the additional ten other best scores on that given CPU.
A few years ago, G.SKILL started working closer with AMD and became a memory of a choice for many, and this is recognized by most enthusiasts who are scoring well. G.SKILL TridentZ Royal seems to be the dominant denominator to these scores in various configurations.
