Previously available in 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB options, the Samsung 980 Pro has now become available in 2TB option as well. Still based on Samsung's own Elpis controller and TLC NAND, the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB comes in the same M.2 2280 form-factor with PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 1.3c interface and protocol.
The 2TB option features 2GB of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, and offers sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,000MB/s and 5,100MB/s, respectively. The random 4K read and write performance is rated at 1,000,0000 IOPS and it has an endurance rating of 1,200 TBW.
When it was available, the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB was priced at $429.99, which puts it at about $0.22 per GB, making it cheaper than 500GB and 1TB options, priced at $149.99 and $229.99, respectively.

Hopefully, the 2TB option will become available once again as it appears that the initial stock was sold out pretty quickly.
