According to details provided by Patriot Memory, the new Viper Gaming VP4300 M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD features a standard M.2 form-factor with a PCIe 4.0 interface and uses Innogrit's flagship Rainier IG5236 controller, paired up with 3D TLC NAND.
This combination allows the Viper VP4300 to hit impressive sequential read and write performance of 7,400MB/s for read and 6,800MB/s for write, at least for the 2TB version. The 1TB version has a slightly lower performance set at 7,400MB/s for read and 5,500MB/s for write. Both versions have 4K random read and write of up to 800K IOPS.
Patriot also bundles the Viper VP4300 with two cooling options, as a bare drive in case you are constrained with space or have your own heatsink (like in notebooks or some motherboards), as well as with a thicker aluminum heatsink with a graphene-based thermal pad.
According to Patriot Memory, both should be coming soon to retail/e-tail with a price set at $254.99 for the 1TB version and $499.99 for the 2TB version.
