Core i9-13900KS could boost up to 6 GHz

Chipzilla is expected to launch locked Raptor Lake SKUs early next year and PC-Canada has gotten its paws on listings for locked Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 Raptor Lake chips. Amongst the listings is the Core i9-13900KS that is supposed to boost up to 6 GHz.

The early product listings confirm that Intel is getting ready to launch cheaper Raptor Lake chips and the powerful Core i9-13900KS. Although the listings don’t provide detailed hardware information, we can see pricing, core counts, cache sizes, and boost clocks of the CPUs.

Starting with the Core i9-13900KS, the CPU can allegedly boost up to 6 GHz. Intel had claimed at least one of its Raptor Lake SKUs could reach 6 GHz if it was going downhill with the wind behind it, it just did not say which one.  Now it looks like this could be the Intel Core i9-13900KS. This CPU will reportedly have 24 cores and 36 MB of cache matching the Core i9-13900K.

The Core i9-13900KS is listed with a price of $723.72, an increase of around 22 per cent vs the Core i9-13900K. The pricing uplift is in line with the initial MSRP of the Core i9-12900KS $739 which was a 25 per cent increase over the launch price of the Core i9-12900K (US$589).

PC-Canada also lists the unannounced locked Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 CPUs. The prices for these chips are more than their K-series counterparts and might just be placeholders.

The retailer said that the Core i3-13100 and Core i3-13100F will have 4 cores, 12 MB of cache, and a boost clock of 4.5 GHz. Unlike the Core i3-13100/F, the Core i5-13400F and the Core i5-13400 will have 10 cores, which are six more than their predecessor the Core i5-12400/F. The CPUs could have a 4.6 GHz boost clock and 20 MB of cache.

PC-Canada also lists a 14-core Core i5-13500 with 24 MB of cache and a boost frequency of 4.8 GHz.

There is also the Core i7-13700F and the Core i7-13700 both of which can reportedly boost up to 5.2 GHz and come with 16 cores and 30 MB of cache and the Core i9-13900/F processors with 24 cores, boost clocks of 5.6 GHz, and a cache size of 36 MB.
