According to Linus Tech Tips, who had a chance to check out the previous unit, the tested sample unit managed to hit 12,422MB/s for sequential read and 11,858MB/s for sequential write performance, which is an impressive boost compared to PCIe 4.0-based SSDs.

A leaked previewers guide, coming from harukaze5719 over at Twitter, reveals a bit more information on the expected sequential and random performance of the Crucial T700, reaching up to 12GB/s and 11GB/s with 1,500K IOPS for the 4TB drive. It will also be available in 1TB, and 2TB versions.

As is the case with the most recently announced PCIe 5.0 SSDs, this one will also be based on Phison's PS5026-E26 controller, and it uses Micron's 3D NAND chips.

According to the information coming from Crucial, the T700 should be coming in May.
