by on30 January 2024

With or without heatspreader, and special versions for PS5

Corsair has released its latest MP600 ELITE SSD series that will be available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, as well as come in three different versions, with and without a heatspreader, and a special version for Playstation 5 console. The Corsair MP600 ELITE is pretty special as it comes with a new Phison E27T controller.

As said, the Corsair MP600 ELITE SSD Series will be initially available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, with a 4TB model coming in April. It uses Phison's E27T controller combined with Toshiba 3D TLC NAND, offering sequential read and write performance of up to 7,000MB/s and 6,500MB/s, respectively. The random read and write performance peaks at 1,000K and 1,200K IOPS. The endurance rating is set at up to 1,200TBW.

The MP600 ELITE is available as a standard drive for use in both motherboards and laptops, with an integrated heat spreader, and also as a PS5-compatible model that slots directly into Sony's latest consoles. The Playstation 5 version features a low-profile aluminum heatsink that keeps the SSD cool even under the most intense gaming sessions, and supports both classic PS5 and the newer PS5 Slim versions.

The price of the Corsair MP600 ELITE is set at $90 / $165 for the standard 1TB and 2TB versions, while the one with the heatsink is priced at $95 and $170 for 1TB and 2TB versions.
