Ryzen 7 8700G drops to $270

AMD's Ryzen 8000G series got a decent price drop recently, making them quite a catch in case you want to stick with a Phoenix-based APU with up to eight Zen 4 cores and 12 RDNA3 Compute Units (CUs). Although it is currently limited to a single retailer/e-tailer, it is possible that the promotion will extend to other stores.

Currently run by B&H Photo Video retailer/e-tailer, the promotion puts Ryzen 8000G series APUs down to $269.99 for the flagship Ryzen 7 8700G, $181.99 for the Ryzen 5 8600G, and $158.99 for the Ryzen 5 8500G. In case you missed it, the flagship Ryzen 7 8700G gets 8 Zen 4 cores and 16-threads, works at a 5.1GHz CPU core clock, and comes with 12 Compute Units or its RDNA3 integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 8500G is a 6-core/12-thread SKU with 8 CUs, while the Ryzen 5 8500G is also a 6-core/12-thread SKU but gets 4 CUs. All three are 65W TDP SKUs.

AMD already gave the Ryzen 8000G series a price cut earlier, and the newest promotion is probably running to get rid of the stock as the company is preparing to launch its Ryzen 9000 series later this month. As pointed out by Videocardz.com, the lineup will include the 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X which could hit a similar price point.
