AMD Ryzen 9000X3D also launching in January at CES 2025

by on23 August 2024

Not coming next month as rumored earlier

It appears that the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000X3D series, based on the latest Zen 5 architecture and with 3D V-Cache, will launch at the CES 2025 show in January next year, rather than next month as earlier rumored.

While AMD never announced the official launch date, several rumors pointed out that the Ryzen 9000X3D series will indeed be coming at the CES 2025, and not next month. These confirmations are coming from Yuri "1usmus", HXL "9550pro" leaker over at Twitter, as well as Hassan Mujtaba, a colleague from Wccftech.com.

AMD will have a busy CES 2025 show with a lot to show, and the list now also gets the Ryzen 9000X3D series. As pointed out by Videocardz.com, this will still be earlier than both the Ryzen 5000 and the Ryzen 7000 series with 3D V-cache, which launch 17 and 7 months later, respectively.

According to rumors and teasers from motherboard makers, the Ryzen 9000X3D series will have at least three SKUs, including the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D, and the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. On the other hand, gamers can look forward to the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, which could come next month and become quite a popular option.
