While AMD and motherboard makers have yet to confirm the launch date of the new 800-series motherboards, Amazon has jumped the gun, showing that these motherboards will be released on September 30th. Earlier leak also puts the review embargo for the same date.

While the new Ryzen 9000-series CPUs happily work on the existing 600-series motherboards, the new AMD X870 and X870E chipset motherboards, which also support Ryzen 7000-, 8000-, and the new Ryzen 9000-series CPUs, will bring higher memory support, WiFi 7, and USB 4.

As spotted by @momomo_us over at Twitter, Amazon Germany has listed some motherboards with the release date set for September 30th. Earlier leak also confirmed that reviewers are already testing these motherboards, and those reviews are set to be published on September 30th as well.

While the X870 and the X870E motherboards are coming now, mid-range B850 motherboards will be coming at a later date, most likely at CES 2025 early next year.
