AMD CEO steps into RTG

SVP and Chief Architect takes vacation time in Q4

It has come to our attention that there is a temporary leadership change at AMD's Radeon Technology Group (RTG). We were told by sources that Raja Koduri, head of RTG, will be stepping aside for a good part of the fourth quarter. Starting towards the end of September he will be taking some personal leave with an expected return sometime in December.

In his absence, we have been told that Lisa Su will be assuming the leadership role for RTG. After all of the turmoil surrounding the launch of the latest series of VEGA graphics processors, it would not be far fetched for AMD to do some reshuffling among the rank and file. AMD is expecting 2018 to be very busy for RTG, as work on the next generation of graphics cards will be in full swing. We hope that Raja gets some well deserved relaxation, and plenty of quality time with his family.
