MSI and Toppc break the memory record by hitting 5,608MHz

On MSI Z390I Gaming Edge AC and Core i-9900K

Just a few days after ADATA posted its own record, MSI and Toppc have broken it once again, hitting a rather incredible 5,608MHz.

While purely for show, the system ran by MSI's in-house overclocker, Toppc, included MSI Z390I Gaming Edge AC motherboard, overclocked Intel Core i9-9900K which had some cores disabled, and a lot of LN2. The memory, which was a single 8GB DIMM coming from Kingston, was overclocked to 5,608MHz.

It is quite interesting that MSI used an ITX motherboard, but it probably has something to do with the actual design, and Z390I Gaming Edge AC has been showing up in overclockers posts quite a few times.

Overclockers are certainly pushing hard to get the last possible MHz from DDR4 and, as said, these systems are just for show and bragging rights.
