Ellison and Musk took Huang to dinner

Please give us more chips, and take our money.

The IT gossip circle is all abuzz that Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Elon [look at me] Musk have been seen in swanky restaurants wining and dining Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

Apparently, the pair were overheard begging Huang to make them AI chips and were prepared to give it piles of dosh to do it.

“Please take our money,” they were heard to say.

It would appear that the two powerful CEOs have to beg for GPUs instead of just ordering them. This is because no matter how hard Nvidia tries it can’t make enough chips to meet demand.

One interesting point is that instead of trying other suppliers, Ellison and Musk want Nvidia and so wined and dined him to make their case.

This shows that Nvidia's revenue growth should continue at a high level despite claims that the company is overvalued and the AI bubble has burst.  Ellison, Musk, and others are still in the early stages of their AI build-outs, and everyone hopes to reach the finish line first with a winning AI product or platform.

It also shows that Nvidia does not have to worry about the competition yet. While some companies are building their gear, and there is rivalry with Qualcomm and AMD, Nvidia is still untouchable.
