Chipzilla’s Lunar Lake "Core Ultra 200V" CPUs have received their first driver support for the Arc 140V and Arc 130V "Xe2" integrated GPUs.

Intel has released a new Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics driver, which includes support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and various optimisations for Intel-based systems. Notably, the driver update supported new hardware, specifically the Xe2-based Intel Arc 130V and Arc 140V graphics integrated into the upcoming Lunar Lake chips.

This update means Chipzilla has officially supported its Arc 140V and Arc 130V iGPUs, ensuring stable and optimised performance. However, the product list still lacks the upcoming Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V chips, expected to be released in the first week of September.

The Intel Arc 140V and Arc 130V are part of the Lunar Lake chips based on the Xe2-LPG architecture. This marks the first time Intel has confirmed the official names for these iGPUs.

The Lunar Lake processors are designed for power-efficient mobile platforms. They are expected to offer nine SKUs, each featuring eight cores and eight threads.

The key differences between the SKUs include varying specifications such as clock speed, cache memory, iGPU, and iGPU clock speeds. The Intel Arc 130V will be included in the lower-end and mid-range Lunar Lake CPUs, such as the Core Ultra 5 200V chips. The Arc 140V will be available on the Core Ultra 7 and Ultra 9 200V processors.

Different SKUs will have different clock speeds for these iGPUs, with the maximum number of Xe2 cores expected to be eight on the Arc 140V.

The iGPU on the flagship Core Ultra 9 288V will be the most powerful with its clock speed of 2.05GHz. The Arc 130V will feature seven Xe2 cores and a clock speed of 1.85GHz on all the Core Ultra 5 SKUs. Depending on the SKU, the Arc 140V will vary in clock speeds from 1.95GHz to 2.05GHz.

Numerous leaked benchmarks for the Lunar Lake chips have been released, and recently, the performance of the Intel Arc 140V was glimpsed on Geekbench. More such leaks are expected to surface until the official launch on 3 September.
