The new AORUS Gen5 12000 SSD almost maxes out the Phison E26 controller, which is rated at up to 14GB/s read and 11.8GB/s write sequential performance.
These read and write speeds make the Gigabyte AORUS Gen5 12000 SSD over 70 percent faster than PCIe 4.0 SSDs. It comes with M.2 Thermal Guard Extreme and is based on a Phison PS5026-E26 8-channel controller, paired up with 232-layer3D-TLC NAND Flash and built-in LPDDR4 cache. It will be available in 1TB and 2TB versions, with the 1TB being slightly slower at 11.7GB/s read and 9.5GB/s write sequential performance.
The endurance rating is set at 1,400TB TBW for 2TB and 700TB TBW for the 1TB model.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details about the price but hopefully, it will show up in retail/e-tail soon, and we'll see a few reviews in the meantime.
